Solo exhibition 'Waiting for the sun' at Ouchi gallery New York

7月6日(日曜日)、ニューヨークで初めて行われる個展の為 、ブライトンからニューヨークまで、展示する作品たちを持って、夫と2人、旅に出ました。

NYの気温は約30度。イギリスより10度ほど高いです。暑さに慣れてない私たちにはとても暑く感じました。

On 6th July Sunday. Me and my husband Jed traveled from Brighton to New York to go to my First Solo exhibition in New York. We carried all of my paintings in suits cases and hand bags. Weather in NY was about 30c, 10c higher than Brighton so it was very hot for us!

7月7日(月曜日）、画廊のドアを叩くと、そこにはオーナーのアリサさんの姿と愛犬チワワのHottieが迎えてくれました。約4時間掛けて、展示のセットアップ、オーナーさんとのミーティングを無事追えてその日は終了。

7th July Monday, we went to the gallery to set up the show. There was the gallery owner Arisa and Hottie the chiwawa welcomed us:) We spent about 4hours to set up the show and had a meeting with Arisa

7月8日(火曜日）、夕方7時からのオープニングパーティー。少し早めに到着した私と夫。

とても短いＮＹ滞在でしたが、オーナーのアリサさん、ウェブデザインのあさみさん、展示に来てくださった皆さん、そしてこの展示に関わり、お手伝いをしてくださった皆さん、遠くから、近くから応援してくださった皆さんのお陰でとてもよい展示となりました。本当にどうもありがとうございました。皆さんとの良い出会いを大切にしていきたいです。これからも宜しくお願いします。
