Art and Craft Fair

It was a fun day out for the Art and Craft fair at Hillcrest Centre in Newhaven. I met lovely people and the town was very pretty. I had a lovely tea and cake time too:) I love doing little Art and Craft fairs like this!

New painting - work in progress

This is work in progress image of my new painting. I have only worked in about 3 or 4 hours all together but I already love this image and enjoy making. I have been using oil paint which I love the smell of it a lot. It usually takes a few months for me to complete this type of painting... so this is only beginning!

Still working on this...

Many people have asked me to explain how I put my embroidery work together on canvas so I have decided to show the process of making this little piece. As some of you may know, I also use oil and acrylic paint with embroidery for my work. I rarely draw idea sketch for any of my work as I enjoy idea-sketch in my head and transfer that into the actual image on canvas.

Illustration

Although I have been super busy, I feel that I should make Artworks that make me happy.
I haven't drawn illustration work for so long and I feel that I should do this more, just even quick ones.
This one-eye girl idea is coming from Japanese Yokai called 'Hitotsu me Kozou' (one-eye little boy), I feel that these girls are somehow related to Hitotsu me Kozou, perhaps they are living in the 'Hitotsu-me village' ....:) I can't stop thinking about stories about these girls. I shall name them too ...!
