There is article about the show in Tokyo 'Girls - Vol 2' on Tokyo Scum Brigade.
They said 'My personal favorite of the 3 was Yuki Snow. The way she stitched yarn into her paintings really made them pop off the canvas when viewed in person.' Wow, thank you:)

Yes, my painting with embroidery is better to see in person so that you can see which bit is painted and with bit is embroidered.

It's good to get some feedbacks :)

Book next week in Taiwan!

Book is out from publisher in Taiwan next week. It's called 'Japanese Art' they featured 36 Japanese artists apparently. Can't wait to see it:)

台湾のパブリッシャーから「Japanese Art」というタイトルで画集／本が来週発売になります。
残念ながら日本では現在発売の予定は無いそうです。
３６人の日本人の絵描きをフィーチャーしたこの本に載せてくださるそうです。
本が届くのが楽しみ！！

今回日本で9年ぶりの展示となります。
Galeria de Muerteさんで展示させて頂くにあたって展覧会のタイトル「Girls」とギャラリーの名前「ムエルテ/死体」ということを意識して女の子と死を連想させるストーリーを作品内で展開いたしました。
全作品この展示のため新作品を制作しました。是非ご覧ください。　

It's been 9 years since I exhibited in Japan last time so this exhibition means a lot for me.
I tried to make narratives in the images according to the gallery name 'Muerte' -corpse/dead body and exhibition title 'Girls'. Not as obvious 'death' but some kind of stories which might suggest death...
I hope you enjoy the show.

In Japan now for the exhibition Girls in Tokyo started on 21st August.
Show is open till 19th September (closed Wed and Sun)..... It has been great to be back here.

Happy day

I went to printmaking studio today. I was screen printing for 8 hours with no break and no sitting down at all, really knackered but I'm really happy :)

I think it went really well and I did enjoy printing them.

Also this print I made today might be on printmaking book publishing in 2011 :)

And my lovely friend Nat in Chile wants to get series of my ink drawing.... Made me sooo happy!



今日は版画のスタジオにシルクスクリーンの作品を刷に行ってきました。
８時間まるまる全く休憩も座る暇もなく作業をし、終わった後は力が抜けてぐったりしましたが、作業が楽しくて充実した時間を過ごせたので幸せです。
今日刷った作品はシルクスクリーンの技術本（2011年イギリスにて発行予定）に掲載される予定です。

それと余談ですが、南米チリ在住の友人ナタリアが私のインクの作品をシリーズで購入してくれるという連絡も受けて、お気に入りの作品が大好きな人の手元に巣立っていくのがとても嬉しいです。

明日は・・・

今日は私にしてはかなり珍しく朝早く起きれた。
朝は大の苦手です。

でも早朝の静けさや空気が物凄く好き。

旦那が起きる前に仕事再開！
はかどると良いな･･･。

気がつけば明日から７月。
スカーバラの展覧会オープニングに行ってからは日本での展覧会の準備に追われていてなかなかブログ更新できてませんっ。
でも、絵頑張って精魂込めて描いてるからねー。
９年ぶりの日本での展示だもの。
普段ネットでしか殆ど私の作品見れない人たちにナマで見て貰うためだもの。
あと１ヶ月ちょっとで帰るからね。イギリスでの経験びっしり９年分伝えたい気持ちで描いてるよ。
